Well, We Don't Drive a Hot Rod Hearse

Back when I was a child, a hundred years or so ago, there was a show on television called The Munsters. Grandpa and Eddie (child) were some kind of vampire type thing, Herman (Dad) was a frankenstein creature, Lily (Mom) was another type vampire (the reason I always wished I had a widow's peak), and finally, cousin Marilyn who looked 'normal' to the rest of the world.

In essence, this is my family. Okay, maybe not exactly, but there are some semi-parallels. Bassman is stick thin and has a shaved head except for the braided queue on the back of his head. Fuchsia presently has green hair which is super-duper curly. Sparrow is the bondage queen of her fair county. I am known as the hat lady and, at this moment, have green and red streaks in my hair (Christmas you know). And Stacy is our Marilyn. Normal (at least on the surface).

When my Dad died, we were all in the same house most of the time. Before the funeral, I said that anyone who didn't know us would certainly be able to figure out which were our family members (except 'poor' Stacy. She's our delegate to acceptability). Luckily no one seemed to judge us by our appearance during that sad time.

So next time you see an odd looking crew walking down the street, say howdy. This Misfit clan is a pretty friendly bunch!

I didn't find anything about you that led me to believe you were a misfit! As for the family I met, they are great and I enjoyed meeting them, and hope to stay in touch as much as possible. I Love you Donna, stay the same as you are just right! XXOOXX Shirley

Howdy! I hope I can say it even though I've never seen you in person yet! And I will certainly say it when I do finally get to meet you.

I don't know why I haven't checked you out before, since you are one of my followers. You have a nice little blog. Love your dogs, and the Simon cat videos. Hope your Christmas was all you wanted it to be, and wishing you a Happy New Year.
