Shift Change

Based on totally circumstantial evidence (the best kind), I would guess that 90% of the blogs I read are written by authors who jump out of bed and race to their keyboards. Apparently their brains brew a stupendous concoction whilst they sleep and upon awakening it jumps around in there demanding to be transposed. Pioneer Woman is a prime example (4:30 am? Isn't that supposed to be bedtime?) and she does it exceptionally well.

This is not the case in my world. Sunrise is something I rarely see but if I do it is at the end of an evening. While I sleep my brain says, "Snnnnnnnnnnnnnghhhhhh. Nummmmmmmmmmmmmm. wha????" and so on until I get up. At which point it switches to "coffee. Coffee. COFFEE. COFFEE! " There is no way any part of me can work a keyboard for at least a couple of hours. Most mornings even the mouse presents a challenge.

So I take the night shift for my composing. My brain functions (well, as best as it can) and words tumble into sentences. Occasionally they even make sense! And, after all, there are 24 hours to the day and at least one of us has to keep an eye on the world while the rest of you sleep.

You're welcome.

Pre-posting! That's the answer, pre posting! It looks as if you're up bright and early, when you're actually still snug asleep in your bed, while at the same time blogger posts your fantastically written piece about 'how to get world peace without removing all men to planet xxx'. Ooh, I might do a post about that now...

Ha! I'm one of those who RACES to the keyboard early in the morning! I function better in the a.m. than the afternoon or evening. Some of us are "early risers". My husband and son are "night owls"...not me!

I do pre-post on the photo blog (otherwise people would not see the pictures until late in the afternoon!)
And I appreciate the early posts. They are what I read first thing when I stumble to the computer!

I've preposted before. If I have two different ideas, I'll post them but leave one for the next day. As to your "sleeping" part, I posted about problem solving in your sleep

Perhaps that's why early posters have something to say? Just a thought.

Nouveau that is way too much logic for this early in the day! I did read an article about how late risers are more productive. That helps me rationalize everything.
