When I decided to add some things to this back yard, I knew I wanted a fountain for the birds. I was sure they would come for the feeders but it is so dry here (desert, remember?) that I thought they would benefit from a place to frolic in (and drink) the water.
If I was going to all the trouble to install such a thing, it had to be stupendous. Worth all the effort I would be putting in it. Yes, something along the lines of the Trevi Fountain.
Now I may be biased but I am pretty sure I pulled it off.
And you have to admit, the setting does look an awful lot like Versailles.
