Fit As A Cello

Fuchsia went out and bought a Wii Fit today. It's amazing what kind of stuff that thing wants you to do. Yoga, snowboarding, ski jumping, etc.

We both had to try it. First you enter in all your stats and it gives you a reading (groan). She did hers, I did mine, and then since it has a pet option, we had to add the cats. They seem to be in the best shape.

Anyway, she wanted to try Yoga but she didn't want me watching. Fair enough cuz' I don't want her watching me do it either. I went out and hung clothes.

When I came back in she was marching. Holy was that custom made for her or what? She did 5 years in marching band. There is no way I am ever going to be able to beat her at that. I did whoop her at walking on the water down the river but only because she didn't try it. Same with hula hooping.

After she went to bed I tried TWO (count them, 2) Yoga poses. And I'm not sure I'll be able to walk later.

This beats the tar out of going to the gym (for me). It's actually enjoyable but when you're done your body still feels like you have been hit by a Mack Truck.

And isn't that what exercise is all about?

You can enter your cats on Wii? Whatever for? They don't need to do yoga (the contort themselves like that anyway) and when they're in their 'funny' mood, they run and stay fit!

Anyway, good luck with it and tell us how you're getting on in six months time. I might be persuaded to use one then...

For the cats it's mostly just their weight. And I have to let you all know, I am the ski jumping champion of 11th street!
