Don't Fence Me In

A couple of years ago Fuchsia received a stand mixer for Christmas. Two people in her life told her to 'buy something for yourself and consider it from me and don't bother to get me anything" (huh?) so she got one of them there high end mixers.

The first thing she told Bassman was that he was not allowed to touch it, clean it, move it, or even look at it. He shared the information with me when I got out here. I did have to move it to clean the counters off one day but that has been it.

Until yesterday. Because there were so many people and so much food in this tiny apartment we needed every inch of counter space we could find. The mixer went into the pantry (GASP!).

The party ended, the clean up was finished, and I finally called it a day at 2 am. Fuchsia was still up working (she works at home). When I got up this morning, lo and behold...

That poor child was probably counting the minutes until she could free the Kitchen Aid. I'm sure she slept easier knowing that it was out in the open breathing fresh air again.
