Recap

The cabin we stayed in during our mini-vacation was lovely. It is part of a bed and breakfast but separate from the main building and self-catered which made it even better. More private.

The dining area just off the kitchen.

The livingroom (which we rarely used).

The bedroom we stayed in.

And the view from the front porch.

Then there was Mancos. This was in the third floor window in a shop. Any guesses as to what it might be?

And apparently, pigs fly all over Colorado,

On the way back to Montrose we passed the Sleeping Ute Indian Mountain. I thought it was much easier to distinguish the features with the snow on it. The very top is the headdress, the highest point would be the nose.

The visibility on the way back was much better than the way there. No blowing snow. So Lizard Head's presence was noted. (Click on photo to enlarge. The bare rock is Lizard Head).

Colorado is beautiful. The people are, for the most part, friendly. But dang, it just ain't Kentucky.
