Fine Dining?

We went out to dinner last night for Fuchsia's birthday. One of those fancy places where the waitress doesn't use a notepad.

You know what happens when the waitress does that? Boy howdy, she screws everything up. Not only that but she takes her sweet old time doing it. One hour and 45 minutes after entering the establishment, she brought me my correct order. By that point the rest of our party was finished. I told her I no longer wanted it and she said she would box it up.

Which she did. However, she then disappeared again making it a real challenge to attempt to get the check. Believe it or not, for some reason when it came time to pay the check I was not very inclined to give her a big tip.

And that put me in a bit of a tough spot since Bassman plays there quite often. Perhaps he can tell them I was recently released from prison and I don't know how to function in society. For his sake I hope he comes up with something creative!

Dude - the service totally sucked. They should fire everyone except Daniel!

Well, uh, I guess I have to mostly agree with you Cowboy. I'm not sure about the Daniel part is all.

Ugh, a bad waitress can ruin a good night out in five seconds flat.
By the way, got the bumper sticker and am planning on posting pics as soon as I wash my car :)

The curse of the spacy waitresses. Had one (of the male varieties) myself the other night. The "I know you're trying to catch my eye, but I can't deal right now so I'm avoiding you" kind. Dude, we just want to pay for the meal so we can get the hell out of here!

Sigh. Tough call on what to tip. Can't just say,
"Here's your tip: find another line of work, because this is not your calling darling!"

Sally - I can't wait to see the bumper photo. And the waitress did cause me to cut my evening short.

Kate - Maybe the wait staff realize when it is a birthday celebration and work extra hard to turn it into a bummer.
