Everywhere I go in this town there are ducks. Anywhere there is more than 6 drops of water, there they are.

I don't have a problem with this. They are low flyers so I don't need to concern myself with the same thing I might have to worry about with seagulls (INCOMING!). As long as I have bread they are fairly friendly (unless I am taking too long to dispense the bread. Then I will feel a little tug on my pants leg), and they make it seem just a little bit country instead of completely city.

I didn't realize how important they are to the city until I came upon this sign on one of my walks,

I can't help but wonder if the military is behind this. Who else would train these seemingly harmless creatures to handle the neighborhood watch duties?
