Hegira

The definition of hegira is a journey undertaken to escape from an undesirable situation.

Hmm. Apparently my mother-in-law's tongue decided it had had enough of the simple pot I had placed it in and was going to begin a hegira of its own. I have no idea where it thinks it is going but it certainly did a fine job cracking the lip off its container.

I am attempting to get my paperwork around for the IRS. Is there anywhere I could go on a hegira that would save me from that?

What a shame for that beautiful pot!

I used to have a lot of houseplants that 'thrived' on hardly any water. And then one day I decided they needed more room and repotted them all. After which I would water them on a regular basis. Within three months they were all dead!!

Good luck with the IRS.
