The Dinner Bell Rings

I had a hay delivery this afternoon. The man I buy it from brought 5 rolls on a wagon which he drove into the pasture.

Any changes freak the little horsies out. Food is good, strange vehicles in their pasture, bad. However, this one had food on it so the whole equation was thrown out of whack. They were interested but cautious.

After the first one came off they decided to use it for cover. They're about as brave as the C-dog.

We're kinda' low tech around here so the hay had to be rolled off the wagon.

Any movement by the men caused the horses to vacate to a further section of the pasture. And when the rolls came off, well...

Not everyone reacted calmly. That blur in the back is one of the fools losing her mind. Again.

But the scary truck left and all that glorious hay remained and the little horsies lived happily ever after.

Or at least for the next 2 months.

Wish I had a camera. While you were gone, I drove by and saw one of them with her butt inside the hay, the ultimate butt warmer.
