Please Help My Little Town

On May 2nd, 2010, the City of Liberty & Casey County suffered from a catastrophic flood. In addition to wiping out approximately 80% of our business district on US 127, the flood resulted in many families throughout the county suffering major damage to complete loss of their homes. Dozens of families have lost everything and are now homeless. Most of these families also live below the poverty line and have no insurance.

If you are looking for a good cause where 100% of your donation will go directly to those who need it, please consider helping us out to provide these folks with food, clothing, and shelter.

Donations may be dropped off at Liberty City Hall or mailed to P.O. Box 127 / Liberty, KY 42539 (please make checks payable to “Liberty & Casey County Disaster Relief”).

Please also consider spreading the word about this relief fund with your friends & family. Any & all donations are needed and will be very welcome!

I have posted this on my daily photo site too. This was written by the Chamber of Commerce.

So good to let folks know how bad it is for so many folks in Liberty/Casey County. They've got a Race to Save Liberty set for Saturday, June 5, if anyone is interested? I can get more details.
