Readying For The Rabbit

First thing this morning (noonish) Fuchsia and I dyed some eggs. Bassman even got in the spirit. He did 2. Out of 40. He's festive that way.

Since we were already dyeing, Bassman decided he wanted his facial hair all white. That meant stripping all color out. A process that stung a bit (or so I gathered from all the crying and carrying on he did).

Prepare yourself for his debut full frontal portrait,

TA DA! ( He's a friendly guy. No, really. Sometimes. Occasionally. Okay, once. I think.)

Anyway, we washed the purple out and he did have mostly white hair. It was tough to get all the color out when it's black to begin with. Now it is white and off white. We are still debating on dyeing his queue blue-black. Maybe for Memorial Day (keeping with the holiday theme!)

Later in the evening, I made potato salad for Easter dinner. We'll pretend this photo was another of those 'assemble your ingredients' things,

except no, I don't put vaseline in my potato salad. I was just trying to see if you were paying attention.

So the eggs are done, most of the food is ready, and the house is clean enough that a lick and a promise will finish it off tomorrow. Which means all we have to do is sit around and wait for the Easter Bunny!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

OMG...This posting was tooooo funny, and very enjoyable on this sunny, quiet morning while I sip my coffee alone (Spaceman is fast asleep). However,I'd really rather be sitting at the B&B looking off into the distance at beautiful Mesa Verde!

~ but...good for Bob2 keeping with the Bunny Spirit and joining in on the egg decorating (they were be uuuu ti-ful)! (and you'll have lots of egg salad sandwiches for lunches next week)!

~ Hoppy Hoppy Easter to our Montrose family - and yes - even to the doggy wanna-be Easter bunny (too cute)!
