Yesterday The Cutest Toddler in the World, her dad, Fuchsia (not the Toddler's mom in case you are keeping score) and I headed to the zoo. So did every other family within a 700 mile radius that had a child under the age of 4. Who knew there were that many strollers in the entire world? So it was crowded and HOT. 90 plus degrees. The zoo had 'misters' going about every quarter mile to help combat the heat. The kids all loved them.
The zoo had some pretty neat sculptures. Close to the entrance was this lovely carved bison with its baby.
It was difficult to get a picture of any of the sculptures as they usually had children on them. Of course, Granny had to do the same thing and get a picture of the Cutest Toddler in the World on the rhino.
Fuchsia too!
Further on we discovered that we were just in time to be able to feed the giraffe (for an extra fee of course). The woman working at the exhibit encouraged me to come in too but I would have been too close to get any good pictures. The sacrifices I made! Worth every little bit.
The one animal name that the Cutest Toddler kept mentioning was this one,
(perhaps because it was so easy to say) but her all time favorite, bar none, were these exotic whimsical creatures,
Yes, she had to pet every single goat they had.
We did not make it all the way through the zoo because it was simply too hot but I think we all had a good time.
One thing I KNOW. By the time I finally got home and in bed last night, I slept like a log. That exercise stuff will kill you!

No feeding the tiger? What kind of zoo is that? :)
I know, right!
Your cutest toddler in the world would have fun playing with my cutest toddler in the world. He's coming to visit tomorrow for his uncle's 22nd birthday party.
