Yesterday I went on my first job interview in 18 years. To say it didn't go well would be an understatement. I was incredibly nervous (there were only 6 people conducting the interview) and for the last 4 days I have been plagued with the worst allergies of my life. Translation - 10 minutes into the interview I began coughing and could not stop. Classy.
To top the day off, Fuchsia and I went shopping afterwards. I was still coughing and sneezing so my first stop was the pharmacy to get some pseudoephedrine. I gave the pharmacist my drivers license (because 50 year old women are huge meth makers) and he said, "This isn't your license."
"Yes it is. I had my hair down and highlighted in it."
"Wow. You look so much young... different in the photo."
So I blew the interview, could not stop coughing and wheezing, and apparently, looked like a wizened ancient.
Whoever said 'Thank God It's Friday' had no idea what they were talking about.

Thanks Kate.
Ouch.
I've done quite a few interviews. Allergies wouldn't stop me from hiring someone that was qualified and smart, and I know you are both!
Aaron you're too kind.
Six people conducting an interview? Next time take your best friend along for help on your side! That way she can take over when you are coughing your lungs out...
Good plan!
I tagged you! Come over to my blog to check it out!
