I was so excited today. I saw my first dandelion. I know many people think of them as nothing more than pests in the lawn but I appreciate the bright spots of color.
The periwinkle is also beginning to bloom. That reminds me of the old Bloom County comic strips (Opus in a field of periwinkle). And who could forget the movie Snatch with Brad Pitt? He had to get his mom a new caravan. Blue. Periwinkle Blue.
The weatherman tells us that tomorrow will bring the other side of the season. Thunderstorms. Not my favorite thing.
So if you need me tomorrow, you will find Cruella and I hiding under the table.

Yeah, we had a day of thunderstorms today. But I plugged my weather radio in and programmed it, so I was pretty calm.
I found my first dandelion plant, that I tried to pull up and failed, since I apparently forgot how hard it is to get those suckers out of the ground. But no flowers yet.
I was just saying to B last night that it wasn't time to worry about mowing the lawn unless the dandelions were up.....so...guess that means it's time to fire up my new birthday lawnmower! Woo hoo!
We quote that line from snatch all the time. What a great movie.
I agree, when all the dandelions start sprouting here I get excited about it. I must admit I feel guilty when my roomie mows them all down..poor little flowers.
We have crocus blooming! Little spots of purple and bright green spikes poking up to say spring is on the way..and am I glad! Terralyn
